Making music together is the foundation of the classes. Unfortunately in our society, people have become merely music consumers. Many people think of music as something that they buy, rather than something they create. As a music consumer culture there is music all around us, but listening to it does not make us a musical person. Babies are born with the capability to become musical, but it is something that needs to be nurtured. At a young age, it is important to foster this by singing to the child, and doing activities such as simple songs, bounces, wiggles, tickles, tapping, clapping, and lullabies.
